What this stage means
Nextmove uses this label when a posting describes work after a solution is in use, such as maintaining a deployment, improving reliability, supporting users, monitoring a live system, or extending an existing customer or internal workflow. The posting may call this support, operations, adoption, maintenance, or another name. The label is Nextmove’s reading of the described work, not an employer’s standard job family.
Operations work can include new implementation or a proof of concept. A live service may need new integrations, and a deployment role may share responsibility for incidents and customer adoption. Read the boundaries in the responsibilities and requirements instead of assuming that “operations” means routine support or no coding.
How to compare the postings
Before comparing a role with another posting, ask:
- Is the role responsible for a live system or customer workflow after launch?
- Does it own reliability, monitoring, incident response, adoption, or only a handoff?
- What kind of coding or integration is described?
- Is the expected travel, location, and work arrangement stated?
- Is the salary range tied to a specific level or location?
The live job results contain roles with different titles, employers, locations, and technical responsibilities. The stage label helps you find postings to inspect. It does not make their day-to-day work interchangeable.

What the comparison cannot show
This is an overlapping group. A posting can describe ongoing operations alongside pre-sales / evaluation, proof of concept, or implementation / production. The salary page therefore does not provide a causal comparison between project stages. Differences can reflect the employers, levels, locations, or responsibilities represented in each set of postings.
The page reports postings, not workers, hires, or confirmed openings. Listings without a usable salary range do not enter the salary calculation. A missing term is unknown, not evidence that the employer does not offer it.
