What the posting can tell you

Nextmove labels sponsorship from what the posting says. “Available” means the posting says sponsorship is available. “Not available” means it says sponsorship is not available. “Not stated” means the posting does not give an answer. It does not mean sponsorship is refused.

A listing count is a count of postings, not a count of employers, hires, or people. Browse postings that say sponsorship is available or postings that say it is not available, then open the original employer posting before treating the wording as current. A job can change after it is read, and the tracked list is not every US opening.

Read salary and sponsorship separately

The salary comparison includes only postings with both ends of an annual range and uses the midpoint of each range. It describes the mix of jobs in each observed sponsorship group. It does not show that sponsorship causes a salary difference or predict an offer. Groups can contain different levels, employers, locations, responsibilities, and work arrangements.

Read FDE salary in the US for other comparisons, and inspect available-sponsorship jobs with a disclosed range.

What to check before applying

Read the exact sponsorship wording in the job description. Check whether it names the type of support, the point in the hiring process when it applies, or limits based on work location. The public label reports what we found in the posting. It does not establish immigration eligibility or what an employer will support in an individual case.

Ask the employer:

  • Does the company sponsor this role for the location where I would work?
  • What work authorization or sponsorship support does the company describe for this position?
  • Does the stated salary range apply to my location and responsibility level?
  • Which terms will appear in the written offer?

If the posting is silent, record sponsorship as unknown and ask the employer. Do not infer an answer from the company’s other jobs, its location, or its salary range. For legal questions about an individual case, use qualified immigration counsel.

How the comparison is calculated

Nextmove tracks US FDE and related roles from employer career pages and links each role to its original posting. A posting enters the salary comparison only when it states both ends of an annual US-dollar range. Postings with one end only, another currency, total earnings instead of salary, or a changed range are outside that calculation.

The median is the middle observation, and the middle-half range runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile of posting midpoints. These figures are a reference for comparing the postings observed. They are not a survey of offers or a representative sample of the market. See how the data is collected for coverage and freshness limits. Confirm sponsorship, work location, salary, and other employment terms with the employer.
