What this group means
Nextmove reads the job description and classifies a posting as serving internal teams when the work is for teams inside the hiring company. Examples can include internal deployment, tooling, and helping company teams use or operate a product. The classification describes who the work serves. It does not mean the job has no production responsibility, customer context, or external impact.
Some postings serve internal teams and external customers. Those are kept in a separate Both group. The recipient groups describe the work in the posting. They are not employer job-family labels.

How to read the salary comparison
The page uses the midpoint of each posting’s stated annual range when both ends of a usable range are available. That produces one comparable number per posting. It does not mean the employer will offer the midpoint.
The internal-team group can reflect a different mix of employers, levels, and locations than the external-customer group. That mix is an observation about the postings shown. It is not evidence that serving internal teams determines salary. Ask which teams use your work, who sets priorities, who owns the system after delivery, and how internal users’ requests reach product or engineering.
Internal-team work is not one job
The group can include production engineering and internal deployment or tooling. Compare the actual responsibility in the posting. A role that builds internal tools may still write production code, support a rollout, or work with teams that depend on the system every day. The recipient label does not replace the job description.
