Read the Boston-area postings
The salary view uses a Boston-area metro grouping. A senior production role and a junior integration role can appear in the same region, so compare the work and level rather than treating the regional view as one role type. The Boston-area FDE job list includes healthcare forward-deployed engineering, data engineering, and GenAI work.
Open the original employer posting to check responsibilities, location, work arrangement, travel, and the range that applies to the role. The metro grouping should not be applied automatically to a nearby location. When a posting does not state a range, ask the employer for the applicable salary before comparing it with another role.
For an offer review, record the responsibility level, customer or production ownership, work arrangement, travel expectation, and location rule separately. Ask which range applies to your work location and level, and how bonus and equity are determined. Compare the live region with FDE salary in the US.
