Read the Chicago-area postings
The salary view uses a Chicagoland metro grouping. FDE work can include production engineering, integrations, customer delivery, and other responsibilities. Two jobs with the same title may carry different expectations, so read the posting and the original employer details alongside the salary range.
The Chicago FDE job list shows current roles and links to the original postings. Check whether the role is in Chicago or another part of the metro, which work arrangement applies, and what travel or customer responsibility the team expects. A posting without a range leaves the salary question open.
