Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

What you’ll do

• Own high-stakes forward-deployed engagements end to end, from discovery through production adoption.
• Design and ship integrations, prototypes, tooling, reference implementations, and platform changes in customer and Microsoft codebases.
• Define the team's engagement model, technical quality bar, reusable asset library, and success measures.
• Convert customer evidence into Windows platform roadmap changes and drive them through shipping.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of technical engineering experience with production coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
• Strong Python skills plus at least one of TypeScript, C#, Rust, Go, C, or C++.
