Forward Deployed Engineer

What you’ll do

• Implement Kong-based API, AI gateway, service mesh, and developer portal solutions for enterprise customers
• Build automation frameworks, migration tooling, integrations, plugins, CI/CD integrations, and Kubernetes automation
• Lead migrations from legacy API management platforms to Kong
• Develop production-grade code and infrastructure tooling across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, professional services, SRE, or software engineering
• Hands-on software engineering and implementation experience with API gateways, API management, integrations, or distributed systems
• Strong Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps expertise
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and with automation, deployment, CI/CD, or migration tooling
