Job Family: Software Development & Support (Digital) Travel Required: None Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Public Trust Job Description Summary The Application Integration Engineer is a hands-on engineer responsible for delivering secure, production-ready integrations across legacy applications, vendor platforms, and AWS-hosted services supporting the GrantSolutions modernization program. Working in partnership with the Solution Architect, the engineer owns the detailed design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational readiness of APIs, event-driven workflows, messaging integrations, and data exchanges. The role requires practical experience building and operating resilient AWS solutions, modernizing Java and Oracle-based systems incrementally, and collaborating with security, platform, data, product, and vendor teams in a regulated federal environment. What You Will Do: We are seeking a mid-level Application Integration Engineer to implement integration capabilities for a large-scale GrantSolutions platform modernization effort. This role will support the Solution Architect and senior technical leads by developing Java/Spring Boot RESTful APIs, configuring AWS cloud-based integration components, supporting data exchange between Java and Python applications, and helping connect modernized vendor-delivered capabilities with existing legacy systems.
