Position Overview We are seeking a versatile Robotics Software Engineer to develop and implement software solutions for our robotic systems. Your work will entail building systems for navigation, planning and controls, SLAM, manipulation, and/or perception. You should be comfortable working with both general-purpose and specialized robotics applications. This role involves close collaboration with research scientists and machine learning engineers to integrate state-of-the-art machine learning models into our robots. Responsibilities Design, implement, and test software to bring our robots to life, focusing on navigation, planning and control, SLAM, perception, manipulation, and/or high-level behaviors. Write and maintain production-level C++ and Python code for our robotic platforms. Collaborate with machine learning engineers and researchers to deploy state-of-the-art models on our robots. Work with deployment and test engineers to deploy and monitor robotic solutions at various sites, ensuring robust performance and reliability. Continuously improve and optimize robotic software for performance, reliability, and scalability. Preferred Qualifications BS, MS or higher degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency developing in C++ or Python. Prior experience developing and deploying software on real robots. Strong systems-level understanding of the various software modules and their interfaces in a robotic application Strong technical experience in at least one of the following: navigation, motion planning and controls, SLAM, perception/computer vision, or manipulation. Experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics middleware platforms. Deep understanding and practical experience with software engineering principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design. Familiarity with machine learning integration and deployment in robotic systems. Base Salary Range $100,000—$300,000 USD
