Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Sustainment Engineer for Radar System Model Development to join a diverse team in Huntsville, AL to create unique solutions for complex problems involving foreign weapon systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. In this role, you will help to sustain radar system software models and assist the team developing them in support of radio frequency (RF) and Electronic Warfare (EW) projects for the Defense Intelligence an Electronic Warfare Communities – specifically a diverse portfolio of projects and programs which specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open-air radar development. Ability to troubleshoot and rectify errant threat model behavior based on customer feedback. Development and integration into real-time and non-real-time simulation architectures. Assessing effects of operator-in-the-loop on radar and missile weapon system simulations. Simulation and Graphical User Interface (GUI) development primarily focused on Windows. Testing, verification, and documentation of development and analysis efforts. Basic Qualifications. Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics from an ABET accredited institute and 0+ years of relevant work history is required. A background in C++ software development is required. Candidate must demonstrate relevant skills in one or more of the primary focus areas, be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, and have the ability/desire to work in a technical team to solve challenging problems utilizing a broad spec [... source excerpt omitted ...] ate must be a US Citizen. Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications. Experience with weapons system analysis, modeling and simulation, graphics and displays, and real-time operating systems is desired.
