Loft Federal is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to help design and secure the systems that power our national security space missions. You'll partner with software, systems, infrastructure, and mission engineers to integrate cybersecurity throughout the system lifecycle—from architecture and implementation through authorization and continuous monitoring. This role combines hands-on security engineering with RMF execution, ensuring our systems meet government security requirements while enabling rapid mission delivery. Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate security into automated development pipelines. Work closely with government customers, ISSMs, and program teams to maintain compliant, mission-ready systems. Must Haves Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of Information Systems Security Engineering or cybersecurity engineering experience. Experience implementing the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53 security controls. Experience developing RMF artifacts and supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts.
