Forward Deployed Engineer

What you’ll do

• Implement Kong API gateways, AI gateways, service mesh, and developer portals
• Build automation frameworks, migration tooling, integrations, and reusable accelerators
• Lead migrations from legacy API management platforms to Kong
• Develop production code, plugins, CI/CD integrations, Kubernetes automation, and infrastructure tooling

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, professional services, SRE, or software engineering
• Hands-on software engineering and implementation experience with API gateways, API management, integrations, or distributed systems
• Strong Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps expertise
• Experience with automation, deployment, CI/CD, migration tooling, and major cloud providers
