We partner with the systems teams from each domain by leveraging their deep technical knowledge, implementation expertise, and validation techniques to deliver a fully verified product capability. The result is E2E ownership of a world-class mobility service. Autonomy Systems Engineer, Environmental Expansion is the champion of autonomy capability in various environmental conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring that autonomy systems (hardware and software) and VnV pipelines (simulation, testing, and metrics) can support the target weather conditions. Through strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Product, Safety, Operations, Legal, etc.) and other systems engineers, you will deliver: design solutions, systems engineering documentation, multi-quarter capability plans, verification plans, and debug support. In This Role, You Will: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Safety teams to refine the multi-year product roadmap to an aligned ODD definition. Work closely with Software, Hardware, and Safety teams to refine the ODD definition and match to integrated technology roadmaps, VnV methodologies, and simulation capability. Identify technology gaps and propose novel solutions. Use data and simulations to support the proposal. Deliver presentations that convey the business need, the problem statement, the proposed solution, and the team required. Build and lead the cross-functional team to deliver the new technology. Shepherding these features throughout the entire V cycle by working closely with simulation, implementation, and validation teams. Create and maintain high-quality and verifiable requirements, decomposing input from stakeholders to drive clarity and precision for systems specifications. Qualifications At least 11 years of engineering experience, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics. Experience designing complex systems that integrate multiple hardware and software components, paired with a solid understanding of full HW/SW development lifecycles. Strong track record of producing high-quality technical documentation (e.g., context diagrams, requirements decomposition, presentations) Proven ability to drive organizational alignment and navigate complex, high-stakes tradeoff decisions across competing stakeholder and executive priorities Bonus Qualifications Experience with core autonomous software systems (Sensor fusion, HD Mapping, Localization, Perception, Prediction, Motion Planning, Control) Experience with systems simulation and modeling (Cameo, Magicdraw, Catia Magic)
