Principal AI Engineer - Aerospace & Defense

What you’ll do

• Shape and deliver the next-generation mobile experience for aviation maintenance, including constrained-connectivity environments.
• Design and ship AI-powered product capabilities: model integration, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic architectures, evaluation harnesses, and MLOps.
• Embed with Aerospace & Defense customers to deploy, integrate, and harden solutions, connecting IFS to their ERP, CRM, IoT, telemetry, and legacy systems.
• Own delivery end-to-end across the full stack with a you-build-it, you-run-it mindset, including automated testing, CI/CD, and operational reliability in cloud, edge, and mobile environments.

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience leveraging AI for building products (AI-assisted/agentic development tooling) and building AI within products (ML integration, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic architectures, evaluation, MLOps).
• Proven track record building and shipping production mobile applications; native iOS development experience strongly preferred.
• Principal-level impact as a recognised technical authority driving strategy and delivery across multiple teams or product groups.
• Substantial forward-deployed experience integrating enterprise software in customer environments, including ERP, CRM, IoT, and legacy systems.
